Tegan Atkins is an Australian and New Zealand writer living and working on unceded Wurundjeri land (Melbourne).

Her writing explores abuse, sexual trauma, disability, and identity through the eyes of mostly children, young people and women.

She has a Bachelor of Journalism obtained from the Queensland University of Technology.

She is also a volunteer event coordinator with Writers Victoria, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting writers by offering vital resources, workshops and mentorship programs.

Her favourite tree is the eucalyptus regnans and she loves animals, hot tea and reading in hammocks.
